Partner Gardens

Native Gardens of Blue Hill partners with schools, businesses, and organizations to create ecological native plant gardens in new spaces. If you're interested in collaborating on a design and installation, please reach out to NGBH Director Cathy Rees at Cathy.rees@ngbh.org.

Bay School Gardens

NGBH is partnering with Bay School students and families to bring more native plant gardens to campus, beginning with a woodland garden in spring 2025. Nearby NGBH and connected by a woodland trail system, the Bay School is a private Waldorf school on a 70-acre campus in Blue Hill, Maine, serving students from PreK to 8th grade.

Main Street Garden

In June 2023, Nat Barrows, publisher of the Blue Hill Peninsula's Weekly Packet newspaper, invited NGBH to design a native plant garden in front of the building. This high-visibility project in the center of town offers passers-by a pollinator garden experience that will evolve as the plants grow and bloom throughout the season.

Native Shrub Border at GSA

In 2016, NGBH guided GSA seniors in the creation of a native shrub garden in front of the school’s Science Wing. NGBH has continued its partnership with GSA through ongoing collaborations with its science department, including the launch of a native plant nursery in early 2025.
